Lead counsel for plaintiffs and defendants in New York State and federal courts, at very low rates.
What lead counsel does for you
Being sued, or needing to sue, is stressful for a person and heavier still for a business. A lawsuit runs on its own rules and its own calendar, and somebody has to stand in front of the court for you. That somebody is lead counsel: the attorney who owns the case, makes the calls, and answers to the client.
Kareem Abdo has handled various litigations as lead counsel, and he has taken multiple matters through to their conclusion in New York State Courts, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
In his own words: "The threat of litigation can be devastating to an individual or business." That is the situation he is built to help with.

Both sides of the table
He has sat at the plaintiff's table and at the defense table. Kareem has been lead counsel as a plaintiff's attorney and as a defense attorney, against some of the largest law firms in New York City and the country, and he has handled matters against the City of New York.
He has also been an employee of law firms, offices and corporations, representing plaintiffs and defendants, including large firms and major corporations, and he has worked as a member of large litigation teams as well as a sole practitioner.
For you, that means a lawyer who has seen a case from the side you are on and from the side you are up against.
Trained at Fordham Law
Kareem is a Fordham Law School trained attorney. At Fordham he served as an editor on the school's Moot Court Board and on the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Team.
He is licensed in the courts of the State of New York and in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and he has the legal knowledge and experience to help you or your business during difficult times.
The rate, and a phone that gets answered
Legal fees can be daunting, and finding a good attorney can be harder still. Kareem charges very low rates, much lower than his competition, because he runs a no frills business and passes the savings on to his clients. His words: "No one beats me on value."
Some matters can be handled on contingency when the case is the right type. You can read how that works on the contingency litigation page. The number at the top of this page is his cellular phone, so you can reach out directly.
Kareem Abdo answers his own cellular phone: (212) 439-4723, call or text.
What to have in front of you
If you have been served, or you are thinking about suing, it helps to pull together what you already have. None of this is required to start the conversation, and this is general information, not legal advice about your matter.
- The papers you received
- The court named on them
- The index number
- Any dates on the papers
- Opposing counsel, if named
Not sure what any of it means? Call or text and ask. You can also read about appellate work or reach the office.
